  • Clothes which are comfortable to move in , socks or barefoot. Warm layers are advisable for group classes at the venues as generally the exercises are not that vigorous and are mostly performed lying on the mat .

  • Mat , blanket or 1 inch block / wedge to use as a head support ,water bottle , a beginners mind.

    You need to be confident at getting up and down off the floor .

    The exercises are technically straightforward, however if you are managing an injury and have any concerns please ask for help. Guidance can be given if you need to vary an exercise to make it appropriate.

    I teach with the premise “no stretch , no strain” this is not to say you don’t work hard - you learn to work intelligently.

  • Whilst I’d love to say ‘yes just drop in and give it a go “ my experience is that without knowledge of the theory behind what you are doing , it just doesn’t land so well . People leave a bit puzzled. Whereas if you attend a one to one or introductory workshop , learn a bit about it , have chance to ask questions , check on whether you are on the right track , then the classes become a way of developing those skills within different movements.
